03 / FIND YOUR RHYTHM

There’s more than one
way to get into it.

Timer

A little structure. Set your focus periods, breaks, and cycles. Pause or finish when you need to.

For a plan you can follow

Stopwatch

A little freedom. Start now and let your time add up, with an eight-hour safety limit.

For finding your flow

Give the work a name. Add courses or projects. Switch during a session and Timeheld splits the saved time, keeping your breakdown clear.

04 / SUPERFOCUS

Make a little
commitment to yourself.

Choose one minute to eight hours. Once confirmed, manual pause, end, mode switching, and Quit stay locked until the commitment is complete.

Your chosen time.
No mid-session negotiations.

Start small and get to know how it behaves on your Mac. Sleep, screen lock, and system permissions can affect timing or protection. Use an ordinary timer when you need the freedom to stop early.

05 / YOUR PROGRESS

Good hours add up.

Open History to see what you’ve put into your work. Breaks are never included as focus time.

See the bigger picture.

Filter by course and date. Choose Total for green bars or By course for coloured segments.

Take your numbers with you.

Open Settings → History & export. Choose a course, date range, and either individual entries or daily totals, then select Export CSV.

06 / USEFUL ANSWERS

A nudge in the right direction.

Where is the Dock icon?

Timeheld lives in your menu bar while the dashboard is in use. Open it from there. The History window can appear as a normal Mac window.

Why is a distracting website still opening?

Check that a focus period is active, Timeheld is running, the Safari extension is enabled, and Safari has granted the website permissions. Try an ordinary timer after changing these settings.

I can’t find the Safari extension.

Confirm Timeheld is in Applications, then open Safari Settings → Extensions. The public release and installation details will be confirmed before app downloads are enabled.

Can I use another browser?

Safari is supported today. Chrome, Edge, and Firefox are coming soon. See the browser availability page for current status.
